The Irish Centre for Work Based Learning Partnerships is a not for profit educational institution founded in 2004 in partnership with Middlesex University London (UK).
Its main aim is, the development of a national resource in the area of 'work and activity' based learning and in this regard its stated mission is;
To advance education of the public by the promotion, support and undertaking of education in particular 'work and activity' based learning.To do so in the private and public sector for institutions, corporations, groups and individuals and in so doing facilitate lifelong learning in individuals, and continuous organisational learning in institutions and corporations.

Work Based Learning is a modern way of providing university-level learning in the workplace. It benefits all business sectors and industries. As the Learning is work based it is tailored to meet the specific requirements of an organisation or individual so that new knowledge and skills are highly relevant.
The qualifications gained through work based learning have the same value as if you go to university in the traditional way – it's just a more convenient way of learning where both the individual and the organisation benefit.
The Irish Centre offers a range of Learning at Work degree options for institutions, corporations and individuals. All awards are recognised UK degrees.
